By accessing or using BarryEditor ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

KDP Launch Kit provides AI-powered marketing and metadata generation for authors publishing on Amazon KDP. You upload your manuscript, and our service uses artificial intelligence to provide editorial feedback, analysis of structure, characters, pacing, and other elements of your writing.

The Service is provided for informational and educational purposes. Our analysis represents AI-generated feedback and should not be considered a substitute for professional human editorial services.

3. Your content and intellectual property

You retain all rights: You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to any manuscripts or content you upload to the Service. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

License to process: By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the analysis service. This license terminates when processing is complete.

No storage of manuscripts: We do not permanently store your manuscript files on our servers. Your content is processed in memory and is not retained after analysis is complete. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Third-party processing: To provide our service, your manuscript text is sent to third-party AI providers for analysis. By using the Service, you consent to this processing. According to our AI providers' terms, your content is not used to train their AI models.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Upload content that you do not have the right to submit (such as content that infringes on others' copyrights)
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features or access restrictions
  • Use the Service to develop competing products or services
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns

5. Payment and refunds

Certain features of the Service may require payment. By purchasing access to premium features:

  • You agree to pay the fees indicated at the time of purchase
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice

AI limitations: Our analysis is generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The analysis should be used as one input among many in your editorial process, not as definitive professional advice. We strongly recommend consulting with human editors and publishing professionals for important decisions about your work.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ASKBARRY, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from reliance on analysis results
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
  • Any other damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KDP Launch Kit and its owners, operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
